As I understand It – 1 John 1:7 (NIV)

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

Christian Commentaries – Despising The Process

November 3, 2022

Did you know that Karina Lipsman is the only Ukrainian-born refugee running for Congress? I didn’t until I got a text from a stranger. Well, now I know. But I don’t see the relevance between being a Ukrainian-born immigrant and running for Congress.

I know that Russia is at war with Ukraine and is bombarding hospitals, schools, energy and resource supply facilities, and transportation hubs. But still no connection to U.S. Congressional elections. Perhaps the text was sent to me because someone believes that I despise the electoral process or can be persuaded to despise the process by a single text message. They don’t know me, yet it is amazing what they think of me.

  • claimed that he was a straight-A student – barely literate;
  • claimed to be a trained FBA agent – Not true! The FBA requires the ability to read;
  • promotes himself as a good father and husband – Mr. Walker has 4 children, with only one acknowledged until recently, and provides support only by court order;
  • promotes himself as pro-life and pro-family, campaigning against abortions – recently exposed as paying for an abortion for his former girlfriend and unsuccessfully pressuring her to have a second abortion;
  • is even now railing against absentee African American fathers who damn their children by their lack of presence in the family, which leads to crime and drug use – as stated above, Mr. Walker has only recently acknowledged his previously undisclosed children.

Yet prominent Republicans are rallying around him even while most Georgia republican voters acknowledge uneasiness in voting for him but expect to vote for him in an effort to support the party.

In both instances, the elections of Karina Lipsman and Herschel Walker, where you are expected to make Godly decisions, God has not left you to depend on group wisdom. This is far too important for God to leave you to your own devices. He provides guidance in Exodus 18:21-24;

Exodus 18:21-24 (KJV)21 Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens: 22 And let them judge the people at all seasons: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring unto thee, but every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier for thyself, and they shall bear the burden with thee. 23 If thou shalt do this thing, and God command thee so, then thou shalt be able to endure, and all this people shall also go to their place in peace. 24 So Moses hearkened to the voice of his father in law, and did all that he had said.

This is not difficult to understand. But for those tempted to rely on mankind, there is more help;

John 14:26 (KJV)26But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

There can be no confusion here. God expects us all to do the right thing in preserving His kingdom. His kingdom is too important to be put at risk by partisan politics. He has provided no place for un-clarity or uncertainty. For any to rely on their own or the opinions of others here is not acceptable.
