Eagles 14         Niggers 17

Lone Star Dietz, the inaugural coach of the Boston Redskins who are now the Washington Redskins, was a Native American?  Daniel Snyder, the owner of the Redskins, insists he will never change the name as it honors the first coach and is in fact of term of respect and honor.  Well, lets see how his contention impacts the argument against the name.

We'll begin with a little supposition.  We'll make the inaugural coach a Black man, born and raised in the deep South who did not recognize the slight or degradation of the name.  He was a big man, a strong man, a man who none would dare denigrate to his face.  He was a proud Nigger.  In his honor, lets imagine a little sports color and play by play;

"John Stamps, fifth year with the Niggers.  He's real load!  Only 5:10, but 310 pounds, and he runs the 40 in 4: 6.  At 310 that's unheard of.  Played at Stanford.

"At wide out; Matthew Williams, a long time Nigger, ten years, a starter every year except his third year when he tore his ACL. That was a disastrous year for the Niggers.  For the year they had 19 players on injured reserve.  But Matthew has made a complete recovery and is now the offensive Captain.

"At Center we have Thomas Toms, 305 pounds at 6'4".  He has Niggers in his blood, his father played 30 years ago, and his mother was a big Niggers fan, was a Cheer Leader for 3 years from 1982 until 1985 when she married a Nigger.  And now, Thomas.  Nigger his runs deep with the Toms."

The ball is snapped and play by play commences: "Palmer give to Tucker.  To the 21, across the 24 to the 25.  A gain of  5.  Pierce almost had him in the back field for a loss, but Tucker with that driving leg action was able to pickup positive yardage on the play."

We could go on, but you get the point.  The ignorance or stupidity or hostility of any member(s) of a minority or non minority group can never be accepted as legitimate reasoning to damn others; nor can it excuse despicable conduct or behavior, particularly by those who should know better.  It honors no one.

Matthew 7:12(NIV) So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

Note:  A color commentator, sometimes known as a color analyst, is a member of the broadcasting team for a sporting event who assists the play-by-play announcer by filling in any time when play is not in progress. The term is of North American origin. The color commentator provides expert analysis and background information, such as statistics, strategy and injury reports, on the teams and athletes, and occasionally light humor. Color commentators are often former players or coaches of the sport being broadcasted.
