There is a great pool in which the citizens of this nation live. At the present time, there is little water in the pool, and we all struggle to survive with the little water that is left. Not long ago, there was plenty of water in the pool, but over a relatively short period of time, most of the water was sucked away.
There is no mystery about where it went. We can all see it. It sloshes gently back and forth in the big bottle in the pool inhabited by the elite of our nation. These are important people, so important that it was necessary to rescue them from their doom by saving the financial institutions they control and administer and drove to the brink of collapse. They are the richest 1% of our nation. The same 1% that received the tax cuts in 2001 and 20031; as a result of the large surpluses inherited from the Clinton administration — [“Recent data significantly raise the probability that sufficient resources will be available to undertake both debt reduction and surplus-lowering policy initiatives, ” Greenspan said in 2001.]
It was reasoned that by saving the elite, they would have surplus funds to release into the economy to restore it to thriving, allowing the rest of us to survive. But the reasoning was wrong, and the funds for our financial success have been allowed to simply slosh around gently in the big bottle in the pool, sometimes roughly enough that droplets spill over the edge, causing great competition among us for what is allowed to trickle down.
These are not unwise people in the bottle. And they are not stupid enough to stop all flow of water, knowing that doing so will cause the water in the bottle to stagnate. Near the top of the bottle, just before the narrow neck, there are pipes running to and from all economies of the world 2. The pipes run deep into the bottle circulating what is delivered throughout the entire bottle, ensuring non-stagnant water to all within. They are simply not concerned with our pool.
Luke 12:16-21 (KJV) And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: {17} And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? {18} And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. {19} And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. {20} But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? {21} So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
