Genesis 2:2-3 (KJV) 2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
His work was completed, but not His communication, and He had much to say. So He spoke at various times through men later called prophets telling what was needed to live Holy. And because of much feigned ignorance or a lack of understanding, He breathed His word into forty men over a period of 1600 years, having it eventually canonized into the sixty-six books of the Bible that we have today.
God continues to communicate to mankind to stave-off eventual judgment. But we must be careful who and what we allow in as there are more and more who have loaned their bodies and voices to Satan to sow confusion and distraction.
Now available for all to read and understand. But all did not. His plan included this eventuality, and His Word entered the earth into the body of Jesus, giving Jesus full authority to rule as a man, the same authority as given to Adam in the Garden (Genesis 1:26-28).1 And yes, there continue to be some who need others to confirm what God has spoken in their hearts.
As God’s Spirit now resides within the bodies of His Believers, His communications today are direct and personal. But occasionally, I suppose it is possible that God communicates to a modern-day writer who shares that message with many, through book, zine, music or verse, or other medium used today. 2
John 21:25 (KJV) 25 25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
1. Genesis 1:26-28 (KJV) 26 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
